Dragon Ball Teaser Trailer... WTF!!!!!
This is going to be the worst adaption to film in the history of all film. With all the modern expensive cars (Does that not say Product placement?), and the ridiculous clothes.
This is where the subject of my "Work with creators to make a bigger (And obviously better) movie. But what do I know I'm just a fan, and not some Hollywood exec.
However I will go and watch it just out of curiosity.

Akira Toriyama is done with DB. You don't mind that the people who created the Watchmen movie are making it DESPITE one of the creator's disagreement. Same thing with the live action Cowboy Bebop. The reason most directors don't work with the original creators is because they flat out A.) Don't care or B.) Think its a stupid idea. The politics of Hollywood are a lot more complicated than simple yes and no.

Here's my first impressions:
I am somewhat impressed. Of course, the overall feeling of the original comic is lost, but as an adaption - well, I'd see it. You mentioned product placement: There was ONE nice car, so there isn't much to complain about. The jeep and such are part of the original comic. It will be a fun kung-fu movie, but that's about it. Also, it's nice to finally see Emmy Rossum again!
